Company Overview

Boston Rheology, LLC was organized in 1992 to develop products utilizing patented, proprietary technology in the field of rheology (the science of the deformation and flow of matter; measuring the stickiness or viscoelasticity of certain fluids). While the platform of rheology is quite broad, encompassing industrial, medical, consumer, commercial and agricultural applications, the Company has developed pioneering, non-invasive products and techniques to (1) study the viscoelasticity of a woman’s saliva to determine her fertile period, (2) measure and analyze fluids in diseased states such as the screening for Cystic Fibrosis at birth, and (3) assess the viscous changes in cow vaginal secretions to determine the optimal time for insemination and gender pre-selection.

The Company has numerous international patents covering a variety of processes, techniques and mechanical devices.

Patents

TIAX, LLC

TIAX LLC is a privately held company operating at the intersection of business and technology. It has a rich heritage of creating business opportunities and growth through the power of science, technology and innovation. TIAX was founded in 2002 from Arthur D. Little’s Technology and Innovation group and maintains close ties with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

They continue the tradition of Arthur D. Little, Inc., formerly one of the world's oldest, largest, and most diversified research, engineering, and management consulting organizations. Established in 1886, the company's legacy is valued and implemented by a TIAX staff of about 200 personnel with headquarters, offices, and laboratories in Cambridge, Massachusetts and an office in Cupertino, California. More than three-quarters of their staff are comprised of scientists and engineers representing a broad spectrum of science and engineering disciplines; thus, they are able to provide a uniquely comprehensive approach to the solution of scientific, technological, management, and economic problems.

TIAX scientists and engineers occupy more than 90,000 square feet of office and meeting space and approximately 80 laboratories and engineering facilities covering approximately 40,000 square feet. Their extensive laboratories, computer facilities, and fabrication facilities permit them to carry a project from the initial feasibility and system analysis stages through to the fabrication and testing of experimental proto-types of completed special-purpose hardware. These facilities are equipped with sophisticated state-of-the-art instrumentation for design and analysis.

Assurance Technology Corporation

Assurance Technology Corporation (ATC) provides research and development, engineering and management consulting, support services, and evaluation and test services with emphasis on space, avionics, terrestrial military C4I applications and those disciplines that make systems producible, reliable, maintainable and supportable. ATC has partnered with Boston Rheology to develop the mechanics and materials needed for the precise measurements of Boston Rheology's proprietary instruments. ATC's facilities and equipment have evolved over a three decade history in space, avionics, and ground systems development for over 75 government and civilian customers. ATC's facilities and equipment have a demonstrated ability to support the design, development, fabrication, test and documentation of highly reliable electronic systems.
